Indonesia launched a Golden Visa programme in 2024 for high-net-worth individuals and investors, offering 5–10 year residency. The Investor KITAS (temporary stay permit) is available for foreign directors and shareholders of PT PMA companies. The Digital Nomad Visa (B211A remote worker variant) provides a 6-month stay for remote workers, though tax implications should be assessed. The standard KITAS requires sponsorship from a PT PMA and takes 4–8 weeks to process. Indonesia also offers a retirement visa (KITAP) for those over 55.
