Sweden does not offer a dedicated entrepreneur visa, digital nomad visa, or golden visa. Non-EU/EEA nationals who wish to start or manage a business in Sweden must apply for a self-employment residence permit (uppehållstillstånd för egna företagare) from the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket). Applicants must demonstrate that they can support themselves for at least two years from the business, have relevant experience, and provide a detailed business plan. The permit is initially granted for two years and can be extended. EU/EEA citizens have the right to live and work in Sweden without a permit. Sweden participates in the EU Blue Card scheme for highly qualified workers.
